“Record security push: Nearly 2,400 central force companies for upcoming state elections”
With the upcoming Assembly elections approaching, the Election Commission has stepped up efforts to create an unprecedented security framework across the state. The primary objective is clear—ensure a free, fair, and completely fear-free voting process.
According to sources, this election will witness a record deployment of central forces. Nearly 2,400 companies are expected to be stationed across the state, marking a significant increase compared to previous elections. A substantial number of personnel have already arrived, with more units scheduled to be deployed in phases over the coming days, especially in sensitive and high-risk areas.
To finalize the security blueprint, the Election Commission has initiated a series of high-level meetings involving top officials from both central and state administrations. These discussions are focusing on strategic deployment, identification of vulnerable polling booths, and rapid response mechanisms to tackle any untoward incidents on polling days. District-level authorities have also been instructed to remain on high alert.
The Commission has made it clear that any form of violence or disruption will not be tolerated. Central forces will not only guard polling stations but will also conduct intensive patrols in surrounding areas. Regular flag marches and immediate intervention strategies are being put in place to maintain strict law and order.
Special attention is being given to identifying potential troublemakers. Authorities are already monitoring such individuals to prevent any pre-election or polling-day disturbances. Route marches have begun in several districts and urban centers, aiming to instill confidence among voters.
The elections will be held in two phases, and the Commission’s firm stance sends a strong message—no malpractice or intimidation will be allowed. In extreme cases, re-polling may be ordered if violations are confirmed.
As the election draws closer, one thing is evident: security will play a निर्णायक role this time. The key question now is how effectively this massive deployment ensures that voters can exercise their democratic rights without fear.
