Headline: Helpdesk for Bengalis stranded in Gulf countries launched at Raj Bhavan

Amid the ongoing conflict in West Asia, concerns have grown for thousands of Bengalis living and working in Gulf countries. In response to the situation, the Governor of West Bengal, C. V. Ananda Bose, has taken a special initiative to assist those affected.

According to sources at Raj Bhavan, a special assistance centre named the “Prabasi Helpdesk” has been launched at Lok Bhavan on the Governor’s instructions. The helpdesk has been set up keeping in mind the large number of people from West Bengal residing in various Gulf nations.

The helpdesk, established in the Peace Room of Lok Bhavan, will remain operational 24 hours a day. Family members or relatives of Bengalis living in the Gulf who are facing difficulties or are worried about the safety of their loved ones can directly contact this support cell.

Responsibility for the special cell has been assigned to Officer on Special Duty Sandeep Singh Rajput. He can also be contacted directly at +91 97177 73134 if assistance is required.

Raj Bhavan officials said the initiative aims to provide timely support and reassurance to expatriate Bengalis and their families during this period of crisis.
